Hi! My name is Youa Hang Lo and I am based out of Lansing, MI.  I’m married to a wonderful man who is my everyday hero, not just because he was in the military, but because everything he does is to benefit us.  Plus, he mows the lawn, takes out the garbage, and saves me from a variety of bugs!  We have a soft spot for turtles and personally have had two of them as pets.

I created YHL Photography after so many years of trying to find my place in my career.  After holding a few office jobs, I felt there was something missing and that I could do and give more.  So, I finally came to the realization of it all, and turned my favorite hobby of photography into a business; something I would have pride in and something that would make me happy.

And it’s not all about getting the right pose or the perfect background.  Because when you worry about all of that, you are not able to be yourself and it shows in the pictures.  For me, it is about capturing personalities and having a keepsake of the milestones in one’s life.  One of our biggest treasures, when all is gone, are our photos.  Having someone look at a photo and being able to see who that person really was is what I love.  They also serve as memories we may have forgotten but can be easily brought back.

Getting to know my clients and providing a comfortable atmosphere are important to me.  I believe this is the best way to showcase your personality and get the best images.  I hope to get to know all of you better and to capture and share in those precious moments in your life.
