Lots of Photo opps in Old Town Lansing

When I take senior portraits, I love to capture each individual’s unique personality. Luckily, here in the Lansing area, there are so many treasured places and scenery to take advantage of. One of them is Old Town Lansing, which is a part of the city’s history and is still thriving with privately owned shops and studios. With arts, music, and people galore, there is always something special to be found here.

So, a few weeks ago, I was able to take one of my seniors, who is a laid back, cool, colorful type of gal, down there and was lucky enough to take home an abundance of creative shots. Check out a few of them here!

Travel Bug is biting…

So far this spring/summer here in Michigan, we have seen scorching temperatures of 95 degrees and above. Mix in humidity and it is truly an outdoor sauna! That was last week and part of the week before. This weeks starts with colder weather, dropping to the mid 70′s and cloudy skies! Is it me, or has this year just been awfully strange? And since the weather can’t make up its mind here, I am suddenly itching to go where it does- maybe Hawaii?

I love traveling within the 50 states, and hope to one day eventually make a stop in every one. I also enjoy local getaways as well, and being in the Great Lakes state, its always a treat! Whether, it’s a week, or a weekend, taking some time away is always needed to stay healthy and sane. Haha.

Here are some places I’ve been to already this year: Chicago, San Diego, and the Grand Canyon!
